Guelph CAnCER

The Guelph Companion Animal Cancer Epidemiologic Registry

The Guelph CAnCER is a cancer registry for cancers occurring in our companion dogs and cats. The registry is population-based and allows for epidemiologic studies about the occurrence of cancers among resident dogs and cats in the City of Guelph.

The Guelph CAnCER will provide new information about animal cancers to serve the public and veterinary profession. This information results form collecting and analyzing data about resident dogs and cats newly diagnosed with cancer (i.e. incident neoplasia). Information gained from the cancer registry can also provide clues about cancer treatment and control in humans.

The Guelph CAnCER was established at the University of Guelph in January 2010 with support from PetTrust.
